peregrine falcon
, pair Lake Mulwala, east of Yarrawonga

black honeyeater, one sub-adult male, drinking at dam, Warby Ranges

white-browed and masked woodswallows; scores in Warby Ranges, some starting to nest; also scores Mt Pilot Range

white-winged triller, dozen in Warby Ranges

turquoise parrot, only three males seen, drinking at dam, Warby Ranges

painted honeyeater, about four males, Killawarra State Forest

hooded robin, family group, Warby Ranges

speckled warbler, pair and juvenile, Killawarra State Forest

barking owl, pair seen Beechworth Historical Park

spotted quail-thrush. pair, probably nesting, Mt Pilot Range

regent honeyeater, pair of released birds seen Chiltern area

little lorikeet, about 10, Warby Ranges and a few Chiltern area, the most seen for many years.

turquoise parrot, about fifteen males seen Mt Pilot Range, feeding in farmland on edge of forest.

painted button-quail, adult female seen, Mt Pilot Range, scarce now after years of drought.

chestnut-rumped heathwren, adult male singing, Mt Pilot Range, first seen in the area (by me, at least) since the fire in early 2003.

white-bellied cuckoo-shrike, two pairs, Mt Pilot Range, no longer common in area.
