& Conditions
Cost
includes guiding all meals as specified,
accommodation, park entry fees and transport while on tour (airline tickets
where applicable). Cost includes some drinks when dining in restaurants
but not bar fridge charges.

a $200AUD/USD deposit unless otherwise specified. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
A deposit
secures a place on a tour.
Liability: The
tour participant agrees that Australian Ornithological Services P/L
is not liable for any damage or loss (including personal injury and
property loss). Participants should make their own health and travel
insurance arrangements. Travel insurance should cover unplanned costs,
e.g., a plane not arriving due to inclement weather.
Overseas participants
must make their own travel arrangements to and from Australia.
Cancellations:
The deposit is 95% refundable
should you need to cancel 90+ days before departure. All money received
within 90 days of departure is forfeited should you need to cancel
unless the vacancy can be filled by Australian Ornithological Services
or the person canceling. Travel insurance, including cancellation
insurance, is strongly recommended. In the event of a tour being
canceled, deposits/balance will be refunded in full. Where Australian
Ornithological Services is chartering a plane, boat, hiring a field-leader
other than Philip Maher, and we have not enrolled the minimum number
of participants four months prior to the commencement date of the
tour, we will cancel the tour. In all other cases, we will cancel
three months prior to the commencement date of the tour if we have
not enrolled the minimum number of participants required to conduct
the tour - allowing time for people booked on the canceled tour to
make other arrangements. Participants should not buy airline tickets
before establishing whether Australian Ornithological Services has
the minimum number of participants to run the tour.
Accommodation - single supplement: A single supplement is available for participants wishing to have a room to themselves and not share a bedroom with another participant. Only in out of the ordinary circumstances will a sole-use room not be available. However, the single supplement does not guarantee a participant his or her own bathroom/toilet. Sometimes the facilities are shared (e.g., shearers quarters, some B & Bs), and quite often we stay in cottages, cabins and chalets that have two or more bedrooms but only one bathroom. In normal circumstances, we do not put more than two people to a 2+ bedroom cottage or cabin.
AOS reserves the right to alter an itinerary if it is deemed necessary.
Notes
A 'confidential emergency
form' will be sent to you after booking on a tour.
A deposit confirms your
booking. Balance due 60 days prior to departure (see bookings
above).
