MAMMALS

1. Common Brushtail Possum: One rather mangy looking specimen of the northern sub species seen in the Darwin Botanic Garden

2. Agile Wallaby: Common around Darwin and Cooinda; few around Katherine and Kununurra

3. Northern Nailtail Wallaby: One seen well on the foreshores of Lake Argyle - a good sighting

4. Short-eared Rock-Wallaby: One Joe's Creek, Gregory NP and about eight on the boat trip on Lake Argyle

5. Common Water-rat: One Fogg Dam; one Bonrook Station homestead

6. Black Flying Fox:  Presumably this was the species present at Howard Springs NP

7. Dingo: A few around Cooinda and on the way out from Waterfall Creek

8. Feral Cat: One Kakadu NP; one Pine Creek area

9. Feral Donkey About 10 west of Katherine

 

REPTILES

1. Saltwater Crocodile: One Palmerston STW; about six Yellow Waters; surprisingly one at Parry's Lagoon

2. Freshwater Crocodile: One Victoria River; two Lake Argyle

3. Northern Goanna:  One Fogg Dam and one overly friendly goanna who could strike a pose for the cameras at Waterfall Creek

4. Sandstone Goanna:  Presumedly this species on the escarpment at Waterfall Creek

5. Water Goanna: One, Bonrook Station homestead
